The Aveyron begins its course near Severac le Château and finishes it just near the Ostalas.
The truly splendid Gorges are bordered all along by many absolutely beautiful medieval fortified villages such as Najac, Saint Antonin de Noble Val, Bruniquel to mention only a few.
