A natural stress reliever
Laughter Yoga or laughing without purpose was created in 1995 by Indian doctor Madan KATARIA. It is good to know that the brain doesn’t make a difference if you laugh because of a funny joke, or not ! You laugh because you decided to do so and you gave the order to your brain. We all know that laughing has many benefits. It is relaxing, stress-relieving, and a cure for sadness. Laughter yoga is an innovative approach which combines breathing and laughing through physical, emotional and breathing exercises. It is accessible for everyone without funny stories, red nose or comedy.
Sergine Malphette
From her early childhood, Sergine Malphette has been told that she has a communicative laugh, which resonates wherever she goes. One day, one of her colleagues told her that she should run workshops on laughter. That idea stayed in her mind for a few years and it led her to undertake in 2020 a training to become a Yoga Laughter teacher, in Toulouse. When she ended her training, Sergine created her laughter club while continuing to get training. In 2021, she trained in laughter therapy level 1 and she is currently training in laughter therapy level 2, in order to become a joy coach and to offer individual workshops.
